Hotspot: L'Academia

As mentioned in my last post I will tell you more about one of my favourite restaurants in Barcelona: L'Academia! This café/restaurant is located in El Gòtic (metro: Jaume I), a neighbourhood really close to either the beach and the city centre. Address: Calle Lledo 1, Barcelona.

I have been to this place many times before and last week I went there together with Laura and my parents because of my 23rd birthday. Actually my parents discovered this hotspot in Barcelona around three years ago. Almost every time when I am together with my family in Barcelona we go to this place for dinner.

The atmosphere in this small café/restaurant is really comfortable. Besides the charming and cosy inside tables they also have a very nice terrace (lovely during summer!) in front of the beautiful church: Basílica dels Sants Màrtirs Just i Pastor. 

The average price you pay for having dinner at this delicious place is around €35. They offer a Lunch Menu for around €13. The good thing about the starters and main dishes on the menu is that you can choose if you prefer 1/2 of a portion or just the normal portion. The great thing is that it's easier (for me ;-)) to eat not only a starter and a main course but also one of their desserts (which I can really recommend!). 

You have to know that this place is closed in the weekend, during bank holidays and three weeks in August (summer holiday in Spain). I don't think it is common that a restaurant can only be open weekdays, right? This probably says something about the restaurant :-)! But if you are in Barcelona also during the week, you should definitely go to L'Academia!

Opening hours from Monday to Friday:

Lunch: 13:30-16:00 

Dinner: 20:30-24:00
